Combine several moments into a single image for your feed or story. Start with a canvas preset, then arrange photos and text for that shape.
The editor includes these useful starting sizes. They describe the files ilovecollage creates; the destination may resize or crop them.
| Canvas | Base export size | Use |
|---|---|---|
| 1:1 Square | 1080 × 1080 pixels | Square composition |
| 4:5 Portrait | 1080 × 1350 pixels | Taller feed composition |
| 9:16 Story | 1080 × 1920 pixels | Vertical story composition |
Use fewer photos when each one needs to be recognizable on a phone. A two- or four-photo layout can give details more space than a ten-photo grid. Keep your main subject clear of cell edges and leave breathing room around a title.
Use a short headline with strong contrast. Place it on a calm part of the photo or add a text background. For a story, keep important text away from the extreme top and bottom, where the app's interface may cover it. Review the preview at a size close to a phone screen.
Open Export, check the dimensions and download PNG or JPEG. Upload the finished file using Instagram and check its publishing preview before posting. This makes one combined image; it does not create a carousel or automatically publish to your account.
If you change from square to portrait after placing text, check every photo crop and text position again. Save your editable project so you can make another size without starting over.
