AI smart crop for pets, objects and collage photos
Make the important part of a photo visible in a tight collage cell. After uploading, choose Find subjects with AI above the canvas. The detector outlines pets, people and other common objects, then you decide which one should be framed.
How to crop around a subject
- Add photos. Fill one or more collage cells with your pictures.
- Find subjects. Click Find subjects with AI. Visible, unrotated photos are checked using small previews.
- Choose and preview. Select a detected outline or tap the photo if your subject was missed. For an outlined object, try Roomy, Balanced or Close framing. Review the crop preview, then apply or keep the original framing.
What it can find
The detector uses a model trained for 80 common object classes, including cats, dogs, people and everyday items. It provides approximate boxes, so it may miss unusual products or small, partly hidden subjects. It does not remove backgrounds or guarantee that a whole object fits in a narrow collage cell. You choose the subject, and Undo is available after applying a crop. For portraits, face-aware crop can center a clear single face automatically.
Performance and privacy
Normal editing does not load the object model. The optional scan starts on click, runs in a browser worker using previews up to 512 pixels, and may take longer on older devices or a slow connection. AI analysis happens on your device; signed-in drafts and projects can be saved to your account. The model and runtime download from Google and jsDelivr, which receive connection information; MediaPipe may collect usage metrics. Read how your data is handled.
