Make a photo collage with layouts for up to ten pictures. After uploading, choose Center faces with AI above the canvas. A face detection model finds faces in visible photos and shifts filled crops toward them. For pets and common objects, try the separate AI subject crop. You can adjust every result manually.
How to use face-aware crop
- Add your photos. Upload pictures and choose a grid or try Smart Layouts for shape-based suggestions.
- Scan the faces. Choose Center faces with AI above the canvas. The optional model loads only when you click; it checks visible, unrotated collage photos one at a time.
- Choose the subject when needed. A clear single face is centered automatically. If several faces or only a small face are found, tap the main subject in the full photo. You can tap a sideways person even if their face was missed, keep the current crop, or use Undo. Download PNG, JPEG or WebP without an added watermark.
What the AI does
The detector locates faces, including multiple faces in one photo. A distant face is not allowed to pull the crop away from a larger foreground face. With multiple or uncertain detections, you choose the focus point rather than letting the tool guess which person matters. It does not identify people, alter their faces, generate images, or guarantee that every face will fit in a narrow cell. If no face is found, the existing crop is kept for manual adjustment. Photos rotated inside the editor are skipped.

Made for slower devices too
The normal editor does not load the detector. Face checking starts only after you ask for it, runs in a background worker, and uses small previews. The first use downloads the model and may take longer on older devices or connections. If your browser cannot run it, you can still choose layouts and crop manually.
Your photos and the model
Face detection processes your photos on your device; they are not sent to the model provider. On first use, model files load from Google and jsDelivr, which receive ordinary connection information. MediaPipe may collect usage and performance metrics. Read how your data is handled.
