  2. Edit the captions. Select the template and open Edit captions. Replace the numbered text fields, then choose an outline, background, color and font.
  3. Check and download. Open Export to inspect the preview and output dimensions. Download PNG, JPEG or WebP, or save an editable project for another version.

Find a template that fits your joke

The library includes 18 recognizable image formats and six layouts for your own photos. Use Drake to reject one option and approve another, Two Buttons for a dilemma, or Distracted Boyfriend for competing priorities.

Browse every meme template and caption layout. Template previews and explanations work even before the editor loads.

Add text to your own photo

Start with classic top-and-bottom text, a caption above the photo, or Expectation vs Reality. You can reposition captions and style one caption or all of them together. Outlines and text backgrounds help the words stay readable across a busy image.

The meme text guide explains contrast, reading order and small-screen checks. The editor adds editable text; it does not automatically erase wording already baked into an uploaded picture.

Save your meme without an added watermark

Export a still image as PNG, JPEG or WebP. Use PNG for crisp captions, or JPEG for a smaller photo-heavy file. The output size is visible before download. Save a .collage file if you want to reopen and edit the separate text layers later.

Uploaded photos and captions are processed in this browser. Signed-in drafts and projects containing them are saved to your account for use across devices. Optional account features and usage analytics are described on the data information page.
